DAY 2

Tarangire National Park

After breakfast, you will be picked up by your driver/ tour guide who will take you to Tarangire National Park, located in Manyara Region. Tarangire is the sixth largest national park in Tanzania after Ruaha, Serengeti, Mikumi, Katavi and Mkomazi. Activities will include a wild life game drive where you can see pythons climb trees, as well as lions and leopards among others. For the bird lovers, keep an eye for the screeching flocks of colourful yellow-collared lovebirds, and the somewhat drabber rufous-tailed weaver and ashy starling. These are all endemic to the dry savannah of north-central Tanzania.

DAY 3

Tarangire National Park

After breakfast, we will proceed to a walking safari escorted by a professional armed ranger. In the afternoon, there will be another game drive at Tarangire National park. In this park, you are to see large herds of elephants, tree climbing lions, and the fascinating baobab trees also called the Tree of Life for its almost mythical powers that some cultures attach to it. This park is especially known for Tarangire river which flows all year round and the only source of water for wild animals during dry seasons. Meals: B,L,D

DAY 4

Lake Manyara National Park

After breakfast, we will set off to Lake Manyara National Park for yet another exciting game drive. Lake Manyara National Park is a scenic lake that made Ernest Hemingway exclaim "the loveliest I had seen in Africa". Manyara provides the perfect introduction to Tanzania’s birdlife. More than 400 species have been recorded, and if your lucky, you can expect to see 100 of these in one day. Inland of the floodplain, a narrow belt of acacia woodland is the favoured haunt of Manyara’s legendary tree-climbing lions and impressively tusked elephants. Meals: B,L,D

DAY 5

Ngorongoro Crater

After breakfast, we will depart for a full day game drive at the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. This is an extensive highland area along the eastern arm of the Great Rift Valley, with the world-renowned Ngorongoro Crater as its focal point. It is not a national park in the strict sense of the word, but was rather established to conserve wildlife and other natural resources. It exists to safeguard the interests of indigenous people as well as promote tourism. Thus, guests on safari have the unique experience of seeing Maasai herdsmen with their cattles among the tremendous variety of wildlife found in the area. Meals: B,L,D

DAY 6-7

Serengeti National Park

After breakfast, we will set off for Serengeti National Park with picnic lunch, and game drive en route via Olduvai Gorge, Tanzania’s oldest and most popular national park. A UNESCO world heritage site and recently proclaimed 7th wonder of the world, Serengeti is famed for its annual migration where some six million hooves pound the open plains. Between July to October, witness an actual survival of the fittest as these animals plunge through crocodile-infested waters. The wildebeest produces more than 8,000 calves daily before the 1,000 km (600 mile) pilgrimage begins again. Serengeti offers an exotic game-viewing experience in the whole of Africa giving you upclose look of the animals you've only seen in National Geographic: great herds of buffalo, smaller groups of elephant and giraffe, and thousands of eland, topi, kongoni, impala and Grant’s gazelle. Meals: B,L,D

DAY 8-9

Serengeti National Park

After breakfast, we will head north of Serengeti for a full day game drive in the wilderness tracking the Great migration trails. Witness million wildebeests, each one driven by the same ancient rhythm, fulfilling its instinctive role in the inescapable cycle of life: a frenzied three-week bout of territorial conquests and mating; survival of the fittest as 40km (25 mile) long columns plunge through crocodile-infested waters on the annual exodus north. Meals: B,L,D

DAY 10

Back to Arusha

After breakfast, we will have our last morning game drive at Serengeti North and afterwards transfer to the Lobo airstrip for your flight back to Arusha. Upon arrival in Arusha, we will take you to Kilimanjaro International Airport for your flight back home. Meals: B,L
